Any Suggestions?

Hyrum's third birthday is coming up. We've been planning on getting him a bike, but now I'm thinking a big wheel might be safer? Or maybe a scooter?

Any suggestions? What do your kids like best? Which is easiest to ride?

When it comes to locomotion, where do we start?

camden LOVED and LOVES his scooter. not much interest with the bike, but that could be because all the kids on the street ride scooters.

Benson has both a bike with training wheels and a traditional red trike, and doesn't really like either. I think the scooter idea sounds great! :)

Madilyn is 2 1/2 and we bought her a 12'' bike for Christmas. She loves to wear her helmet and learned to pedal pretty fast. She loves it a nd we figure we wont have to by another upgrade for a while because the seat raises up about 4 inches and the training wheels are removable ofcourse.

My kids still love their big wheels best, in fact we have 2 identical ones. I would do a 3 wheel scooter for a scooter at 3 because they don't fall so much!

Hey guys,
I love blog stalking you. Your kids are so dang cute and your posts are entertaining. Our neighbors have a three wheel scooter for their daughter that has the two wheels in front instead of the back and the board part is a little wider. I think it's made my Radio Flyer. Lindsay has the one with the two wheels in the back and it seems to tip. Our neighbors doesn't seem to have that problem as much. As far as a bike, Michael's had a 12 inch I think around this same age. He did alright on it. But I think the little roadster trikes/big wheel look like a lot of fun. They are low to the ground. Chris and Jenny bought one for Sean a couple years ago. Good luck. I'm sure he'll like what ever you get him. You could always take him to the store and let him try things out to see what peaks his interests the most and then surprise him with what you decide.
